New Album ‘Battles’ Enters Official Charts

‘Battles’, the new album from London-based blues rock guitarist Jack J Hutchinson, has entered the Official Charts in the UK, reaching number 16 in the Independent Album Charts.

The album has also received rave reviews, with Planet Rock describing it as having “Gritty riffs and blazing solos”. Naming it Record of the Week, Rush on Rock said it was “An angst-ridden blaze of creative glory”, with Metal Planet Music adding “The trio are firing on all cylinders. It is the best body of work Hutchinson has produced so far”.

Two of the tracks from the album – ‘Constellations’ and ‘Bullets’ – have been play listed by Planet Rock Radio, whilst another ‘Days Are Gone’ was featured on Johnnie Walker’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 2.

Hutchinson and his band, featuring Phil Wilson on drums and Charlie Rachael Kay on bass, launched the album with a packed out show at London’s O2 Academy Islington, before embarking on a headline tour across the UK which runs until June 2024. They will then head to Europe in September for further dates in Spain, before heading to the US in January 2025 for Hutchinson’s first full band shows in the States.
