Boom at the 100 Club

This week saw my band return to the legendary 100 Club, London, almost one year after our EP launch at the same venue.

Announcing our new name Jack J Hutchinson and the Boom Boom Brotherhood, we tore through a ten song set featuring live staples Get It Back and Wake Up, plus new tracks Long Time Coming and Love Is Gonna Bring You Home.

It was a great night and a real pleasure supporting Ryan McGarvey and Billy Walton Band. Both were really impressive players with superb musicians behind them.

Thanks to everyone who made it and came to support us, especially those that bought CDs afterwards and came up to me for a chat.

As a slight aside, it was great to see one of my heroes Walter Trout in the audience as well. I chatted to him briefly and he seemed to be enjoying himself. Also good to see Danny Bryant – another one of my favourite guitarists.

Next stop, Durham and Cleethorpes Blues Festivals this weekend. Pack your hats!

Cheers, Jx

“Hard-gigging, hard-ligging Jack Hutchinson has been getting himself noticed all over the place! All that work has paid off, drawing an unusually large turn out for the early slot on the Tuesday Blues three band bill.” Moray Stuart’s review.
