Jack J Hutchinson is pleased to announce he will be performing at London’s famous O2 at BluesFest 2016.
The British Blues Award finalist will play as part of the event’s free daytime schedule on Saturday 29 October alongside his band the Boom Boom Brotherhood, which features Rick Baxendale on bass and Jim Brazendale on drums.
Hutchinson will also play a solo acoustic set on Sunday 30 October.
Other acts set to perform include Jeff Beck, Bad Company, Van Morrison, Walter Trout, Big Boy Bloater and Bill Wyman.
Hutchinson said: “It is a real honour to be invited to play at BluesFest. The lineup is incredible, featuring some of my heroes, including Jeff Beck and Paul Rodgers. I’m looking forward to raising the roof with the Boom Boom Brotherhood!”
The announcement comes as the band are gearing up to release their debut album ‘Set Your Heart For The Sun’. The record has already spawned on iTunes Top 20 Blues single, ‘Love Is Gonna Bring You Home’.
Hutchinson added: “We will be giving some of the new songs their debut at BluesFest. There’s a lot of up tempo, southern blues rock sounding stuff on there that draw on our influences. There’s hints of the Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin and the Black Crowes – but with our own spin. We think the crowd will like it!”
