Jack J Hutchinson is pleased to announce Unplugged, a new 6-track live acoustic EP featuring selection of fan favourites from Hutchinson’s recent tour dates.
The digital and limited edition CD release includes brand new Hutchinson originals ‘Boom!’ and ‘Locomotive Blues’, plus covers of BB King, Magic Sam and Jimmy Reed classics. Featuring renowned blues player Tom Brundage on harmonica, the digital record will be released on 14 December 2015. In addition, a strictly limited edition run of 100 vinyl CDs will be available at Hutchinson’s upcoming tour dates, plus via his online store.
Hutchinson said: “I’ve played around 70 shows this year, many of them with Mr Brundage on harp. Certain songs became staples of our blues duo shows and the idea was to recreate that feel. We set up a few microphones in the studio and just started playing. It’s all live with no amps or fancy technology. Warts and all – just as acoustic blues should be!”
Explaining the reasons for the record’s limited run, Hutchinson added: “This is my way of saying thanks to everyone who has come to the shows this year, whilst gearing up for my debut album release with my band The Boom Boom Brotherhood early next year.”
Unplugged was produced by Tony Bambony with cover photography by Haluk Gurer, live at the Flowerpot, Derby.

Hi, Just wanted to say that your track “Hey Hey Hey” is one of the best songs I’ve heard for a long time. It was a pleasure to see and hear you play at the Leos Red Lion, Gravesend.
Thank you
Cheers Roger, we had a blast! It was a great gig!
