Really pleased to be featured in Blues Matters! magazine this month. It’s one of my favourite publications, in no small part due to their contributors including Sarah Reeve and Clive Rawlings. Hoping I can wrangle a bigger feature and review once the album is finished.
In other news we’ve been working on a new track today called ‘Write Me A Letter’. It’s a brand new tune and I haven’t quite finished the lyrics yet but it’s coming along well. There’s a definite Gov’t Mule vibe to this one – no bad thing! I’ve also been listening to Led Zeppelin a lot this week and ‘In The Evening’ has kinda seeped in a little bit (minus the synths!).
In terms of gig news, we’ve had a couple of new shows added including one down in Tooting with Hannah White. She’s been described by Pete Sargeant from Blues Matters! as “Norah Jones with an edge” and Acoustic Magazine as having “a voice you will want to protect and fall in love with”. It should be a good one!
